Hey Everyone,

Are you ready to start thinking about Christmas? Well it’s not that far away and what better time than to get some handmade Christmas cards made before the mad rush of the holiday season!!!!

Everything will be precut and ready to stamp and assemble!

We will be using products out of the 2010 Holiday Mini Catalog; the stamp set A Cute Christmas (page 32), Candy Cane Christmas Designer Series Paper (pg 33), and Northern Flurry Embossing Folder (pg 26).

New Clubs Starting Soon!!!!

I wanted to share some opportunities with everyone of events that I have coming up.

• 1st I’m starting a “Hostess Club”! This will be a monthly meeting (12 month commitment) at my house where you pay $20 a month (before tax & Shipping). You will learn a new technique every month plus have time to stamp & scrapbook and also use my tools and toys! The best part about this is that 1 person every month will get to be the Hostess and receive all of the Hostess benefits (which includes a free stamp set and free merchandise).

• 2nd, Is the Marker club. This is a chance to get the whole set of Many Marvelous Markers, In Colors, The Case plus the Color Spritzer, for $33 a month (total) spread out over 5 months!

A couple of other things that I’m setting up will be a “New to Stamping/Card making 101” Class in September, and a Christmas Card “Stamp-a-Stack” in October (more info about dates, times, and prices for these classes will come later).

If you would like to participate in ANY or all of these events, please email me back and let me know!

**And I wanted to let anyone know that isn’t local that you can participate in any of these events as well, you’ll just have to pay extra shipping for me to send the products to you. For classes I would send you the precut product with directions on how to assemble, and anything else I would just send you your stuff separately**

Stamping 411, Saturday Sketch #162

Hey everyone, I subscribe to Stamping 411's blog and every Saturday they have a new sketch challenge.  I liked how simple this one looked and figured I'd give it a try.

Here is what I came up with.  I played with Poppy Parade, one of this year's In Colors, along with the Hostest Level 1 Designer Series Paper (also in Poppy Parade).  I added a layer of Whisper White ran it through the big shot using the Perfect Details Texturz Plate, for a little added dimension. The flowers were also done with the big shot using the Floral Fusion die.

The little flowers in the center were punched out with the 4 petal flower from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.  1st done in Whisper White, then again with the same DSP I used for the background.

Finally I stamped Thanks from the Thank You Kindly stamp set, in Poppy Parade and layered it again on the same DSP!  Let me know what you think.

MDS DSP!

Hey Everyone, I know I haven't posted in a little bit, but I'm so excited I just got my stuff from the new catalog the other day.

So I decided to make a card with all new colors.  As for the title it stands for My Digital Studio (MDS), Designer Series Paper (DSP).  Stampin' Up has such wonderful DSP, but this one I made myself.  I used the Baroque Motifs Stamp set (which I love, but I don't have it except on MDS), and placed the stamps all randomly on the page using Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Early Espresso (which I LOVE), and Pear Pizzazz.  And just printed on Whisper White card stock.  Then I cut it out to fit on my card (4" x 5.25", to fit in a 4.25" x 5.5" card).  And I sponged the edges using Early Espresso.

Then attached it to Pear Pizzazz card stock as the base.  I used the Scallop Trim Border punch on Early Espresso.  Stamped the Birthday wishes from Sincere Salutations, and layered that on a piece of Baja Breeze and attached with Dimensionals.

I love the look of this card and it was SO easy with the help of MDS (although you could stamp it just as easy, if you have the stamp set).  But since I didn't it was a great way to make a hybrid card using MDS and stamping and my stamping supplies are so much greater because of MDS and all of the stuff that comes with it!

Thanks for looking and let me know what you think!

Have a great weekend everyone!!!!

My Digital Studio

So this weekend I was playing with the My Digital Studio (MDS) and came up with a couple of cards.  The 1st one I got the color inspirations from "Stampin 411".  The colors are Bashful Blue, Rose Red, So Saffron, and Certainly Celery.  The stamp sets I used were Extreme Elements and Heard from the Heart.
To make the backgrounds for the Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue, I used the stamps in the same color and added a drop shadow so it would show up.

For the next card I just used Basic Black and Whisper White, and the Baroque Motifs stamp set, which I LOVE!!!  Some punches and brads!  I love the look and how simple it is!

I'm still exploring all the things to do with MDS, but it is so fun to explore and play with.

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!

Happy 4th of July (a little early)

Hey Everyone,

I decided to try to make a 4th of July card on SU's My Digital Studio. Its very fun and easy to make quick projects on there!

This card has a white background (which blends into the the white background of the post, but you get the idea) ;-)

I used Whisper White, Night of Navy, Real Red and Tempting Turquoise for the colors. And the Snow Burst stamp set as the fireworks. I changed the opacity of the "fireworks" to make them more of a background!

Happy 4th of July Everyone!!!!!!!!! :-D

Door Prize from my open house

Congradulations to Becky Bundy who won the door prize at my Open House this last weekend. This is what she got...

Its 5 cards all made with the Tropical Party Stamp set from the Summer Mini, and a cute little bag that they all fit in. I CASE'd (Copy And Share Everything) the bag from Lisa Vale. I also used the matching Designer Series Paper from the summer mini as well! I love the bright colors!

Here are close up of all the cards:

Sorry this post looks SO crazy, I've been trying to post this with the pictures on here all day and I'm just having a lot of trouble. Oh well I'll figure it out sooner or later!

1st Post

Ok, so this is my very 1st post on my new blog. I'm really just trying things out to see how it all works.

I'm so excited to get this blog up and going. I am a new Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and I'm very excited to share what I love.

I had my 1st Open House this weekend and we had a great time.

This is the make & take that we made! It's 2x4 and fits inside the scalloped envelop that is made with the Big Shot!
The Bird (from Fun & Fast Notes) is colored with the basic black marker, and then colored in with pastels. The colors are Regal Rose, So Saffron, and Basic Black. I also used the Fast Flowers roller, rolled in Versa mark for the background on the Regal Rose cardstock. I also used the Fast Flower roller with Regal Rose ink on the flap of the envelop!
I roughed up the edge of the white cardstock with the Paper Distressing tool from the Cutter Kit. And used the Basic Black from the Pastels.
I hope you like my first card that I posted! Leave me a note and let me know what you think!
